Tiger Woods/Elin Nordegren Divorce is Finally Settled

Tiger Woods and Elin Nordegren's marriage has finally come to an end with divorce proceedings finishing nine months after the infamous car wreck. 9 Months ago Tiger and Elin got into a fight over text messages left on his phone from a supposed mistress. This turned into one of the biggest scenes of adultery that we have ever seen and put Tiger Woods into rehab for sexual addiction.

It turns out that six months ago those text messages flipped into something much bigger when the world found out that Tiger has had more mistresses then Hugh Hefner has had Playboy Playmates, over a dozen women said to have had relations with Tiger. Tiger spent plenty of time in rehab fixing his so called addiction and trying to reverse the issues that suddenly plagued his marriage to wife Elin.

After the divorce was final, Elin asked for her maiden name be restored, another sign that the damage to the marriage was irreversible. The couple married back in 2004 and they have two children together, one son and one daughter.

Tiger Woods, the number one top paid professional of any sport, decided to take a break from golf in December of 2009, after admitting to his adultery. In March of 2010 Tiger came back stating that he would play for the Masters, and resumed his life (presumably) where it had left off.

There was a while after the news of Tiger's cheating that sent Elin back to her homeland of Sweden. She took their two children with her and left the residence that the two shared in Florida. Elin met Tiger when she became the nanny for Swedish golfer Jesper Parnevik which required her to move to the United States. Jesper introduced the two back in 2001 and they hit it off. Supposedly Tiger had been asking to meet her for over a year, but Elin was in a relationship with another man at the time.

In November of 2003 Tiger proposed to Elin and shortly thereafter the relationship became public eye. The relationship would go through much scrutiny as so-called nude photos of Elin would surface on the internet. These photos turned out to be fakes, yet she still had to sue a magazine over them after they had been published in 2006.

Even with Tiger's announcement of his indefinite break from golf, and even his public apology to the public, it was not nearly enough to grant the forgiveness of Elin. They tried shortly to make it work, but as with everything in the media, it wouldn't be a calm thing to do. Paparazzi filled every corner, just for a glimpse to see if Elin would return to their home.

After a long 9 months, the media that has been picked up off of this story (including the famous "golf club" issue that many reported Elin took to Woods after finding the text messages) has finally fizzled out some, but the story is far from finished.
