Tila Tequila dumps her Twitter and slams Perez Hilton in the process, as reported by Tila at Tila's Hot Spot. The woman famous for A Shot at Love says she doesn't need Twitter and also claims that Perez Hilton is jealous of her.

Why did Tila Tequila dump her Twitter when it was so popular?

According to Tila, her Twitter page was one of the top Twitter pages. Tila has been known to come up with stories that leave many questioning her claims, but when she says her Twitter page was one of the tops, that's accurate. Tila Tequila had a large number of Twitter followers.

Tila claims she is not an attention seeker, and that she doesn't need Twitter. At the same time, she bashes all the "haters" who have visited her Twitter page. Could it be that Tila just couldn't stand all the negative comments? Or is it something else?

Tila calls Perez Hilton a "gross sweaty pig" that hasn't owned his own website or blogged on his own website since 2007 and who is just a "waste of space." Tila says she is coming out with her own gossip blog that will blow Perez's blog, PerezHilton.com, "out of the water." If Perez hasn't blogged on PerezHilton.com since 2007, somebody has, because the blog is very active with both posts and comments.

At this writing, PerezHilton.com has an Alexa rating of 553 and a United States traffic rating of 177. Tila's Hot Spot has an Alexa rating of 698 and a United States traffic rating of 386. Tila Tequila dumped her Twitter and says that Perez is "so washed up and so last year." Perez's traffic is not the traffic of a blogger who is washed up. However, Tila attracts lots of readers and does possess the potential to compete with Perez.

Tila is famous for being a drama queen, even though she claims she is not seeking the media's attention. She claims that her blog will beat out Perez's, but that can only happen if she gets enough readers. A lot of her readers are what she calls "haters." Pissing off haters will just bring more haters to her site and more negative comments. If she didn't want that type of attention at her Twitter page, she probably won't want that type of attention at her celebrity blog. Perez disses celebrities, not readers. That's always the better route to go.

Why Tila Tequila thinks her celebrity blog will be better

Tila says she won't bash celebrities on her new blog. She says her blog will be a refreshing take on the celebrity world. The question is, is that what people want to read? Do people care if a celebrity just bought a beautiful new mansion in California or would they rather read about a celeb who is taking drugs and showing up late for rehearsals? Readers are drawn to imperfections in celebrities, not perfections.

The positive approach is admirable, but Tila may not be the best candidate to promote it. She is not shy when it comes to bashing celebrities herself. For example, she got on camera and dissed Heidi Montag.

Tila claims there will be fan interaction with the celebrities. If she is able to pull that off, that could be a wise move. In the meantime, Perez will likely stick to what works and let Tila forge her own way. Tila Tequila dumps her Twitter, disses Perez Hilton and announces her upcoming celebrity blog. However, if Tila's new blog fails, chances are she'll have no one to blame but herself.
