The Making of Tila Tequila
Tila Tequila was born Tila Nguyen on October 24, 1981 in Singapore. As a toddler, Tila's parents moved with her to the USA, settling in Houston, Texas. Tila's humble beginnings were filled with economic challenges. As Vietnamese immigrants, the Nguyen family struggled with all the common issues faced with moving to a new country. Tila's teen years proved to be a challenge. Tila began to hang out with a wilder crowd and by 18, had already watched friends fall prey to the trap of too much partying. Tila's "Tequila" name is rumored to be the result of a near-fatal experience with drinking. Today, the name Tila Tequila is recognized throughout the cyberworld.
Triple Talent
Tila Tequila moved forward with modeling as a young adult, leading up to a modeling gig with Playboy.com. Tila Tequila became the first Asian Cybergirl of the Month on Playboy.com. With her increasing notoriety, Tila became more recognized, allowing Tila to focus on promoting her music on MySpace and at iTunes. Tila Tequila's music is available at iTunes for purchase. Samples of Tila's singles can be heard on her MySpace page. Tila's single, I Love U is just one of the songs playing online. In Tila's recent blog at MySpace, she is currently considering auditioning some of her cyberfriends for her Stripper Friends video.
In addition to Tila's modeling and singing, Tila can now claim acting on her resume. Tila tequila's popularity landed her a spot on VH1's Surviving Nugent, and the role of a Hooter Girl in the comedy, I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry (2007). Her biggest break is her most recent, however, starring in her own reality television show, A Shot at Love with Tila Tequila on MTV.
A Shot at Love with Tila Tequila is not the average reality show. Tila stars as herself in the show, offering 16 contestants the chance to find love with her. The contestants are men and women, making Tila's show the first looking for love show with a newly outed, bisexual star.

Tila Tequila may have begun her rise to fame through social networking, but the petite 26-year-old is just beginning. Even Time magazine's website features a Tila Tequila article. Tila Tequila, the girl whose name is fun to say, has become a modern pop culture icon.

Post a CommentThe Tila Tequila phenomenom showcases how Asian women has leveraged the "Asian women fetish" into a higher art form. Thanks to the millions of these type of people who have developed a mental condition that can't seem to see certain women in a normal way, there are millions of Asian women who have married into money, power and turned their next generation into self hating hybrids. I have noticed how the part Asians out there tend to marry more non-Asians and luckily for us Asians that there are over a billion of us back in the home countries. Because with the way things are going, the Asian race would disappear in a couple of decades otherwise...
