According to members of Insane Clown Posse Tila Tequila was given fair warning prior to being assaulted at the Gathering of the Juggalos in Chicago Friday that she was being targeted for an attack.

TMZ spoke with group member Violent J who said he and other ICP member Shaggy 2 Dope warned Tequila, real name Tila Nguyen, that there were rumors circulating in the Juggalo community that Tila was a specific target for assault when she came on stage at the concert.

Immediately after Tila Tequila went on stage and started to rap she was pelted with bottles, rocks and feces, including a watermelon that had reportedly been sitting in human waste for several days prior to her being hit with it.

Violent J said in the interview, "We told her about the rumor and she didn't care" he went on to say Tila immediately told the group she wasn't going to back out of the concert because "I'm not a b*tch like that." She also reportedly informed the group she could handle the crowd if they got rowdy. "We paid her before the show and assured her that even if things got out of hand, she could keep the money if she had to leave the stage."

Pictures released by TMZ after the assault show Tila bleeding from wounds on her face and also show her hair messy from being hit by flying debris and the human waste. Pictures were also released showing another performer Method Man from the rap group Wu Tang Clan bleeding from his face after being hit by a bottle.

Violent J went on to tell TMZ the group was contacted by Tila Tequila's lawyer over the weekend and were informed their client plans to sue them and is demanding the names of whoever assaulted her because she plans to sue them too. ICP released a statement after the lawsuit was announced to say, "We're not gonna sit back and give her our money."

In a statement released to the press Tequila's lawyers said their client was in immediate fear for her life, and that flashing the crowd didn't stop the onslaught of fans storming the stage and chasing her back to her trailer. Tila claims when she and her security guards made it to her trailer the fans surrounded it and chanted about killing her.

When asked how he felt about the crowd, which considers themselves a family, treating Tequila the way they did Violent J said, "it's f*cked up. I wish they didn't throw stuff at her."

But Tila Tequila hasn't exactly received any love from other celebrities since the incident. When asked by TMZ how she felt after seeing pictures of Tequila bleeding DJ Samantha Ronson, ex-girlfriend to Lindsay Lohan, was quoted as saying she laughed hysterically at the pictures.

"I did laugh when I saw the photographs. I f**king hate her so much," Ronson told the celebrity gossip site. The pair had a very public falling out on Twitter earlier this year when Ronson accused Tequila of using fiance Casey Johnson's death as a way to promote her own career as an actress and singer which started on MySpace.
