Tim Burton Alice in Wonderland White Queen Halloween Costume
To make a White Queen costume from Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland, you'll need a long white formal dress with long sheer white sleeves. If you prefer you can also find a sleeveless white dress or a dress with off-the-shoulder sleeves and sew on some sheer white sleeves. Preferably, the dress should have a corseted bodice. Sew some white lace ruffles to the front of the bodice in a V pattern. Attach faux pearls at the neckline of the dress. Also attach small plastic jewels to the bodice and sleeves with fabric glue and an applicator. Get a string of faux pearls and gold beads to go around your neck. Also find a long white wig and style it in sponge rollers so that it's slightly curly. Apply pale makeup to your face, neck, shoulders and hands. Apply dark pencil to your eyebrows and wear mascara and dark lipstick to make this Disney Halloween costume complete.
Tim Burton Alice in Wonderland Red Queen Halloween Costume
To begin your Tim Burton Alice in Wonderland Red Queen costume, get a long red skirt. Cut out some hollow heart shapes from dark felt and some smaller hearts from white felt to fit inside the holes. Sew or hot glue them onto the skirt. Find a white shirt with a stand-up collar, a corseted bodice and a dark velour or velvet jacket with short balloon shoulder sleeves. Attach some lighter strips of fabric in a fan shape to the front of the bodice. Then sew a tan overskirt with a criss-cross pattern onto the back and sides of the bodice. The overskirt should be open in front so that a wide strip of the red underskirt shows through. Also attach red strips of fabric to the sleeves of the jacket. Then attach some dark net fabric to the ends of the jacket sleeves. Attach horizontal strips of red fabric to the netting. Add brocade trim and faux pearls and red faux jewels to the top of the bodice. Get a bald cap and a bright red wig. Style the wig in tight curls using sponge rollers. Also buy or make a very small gold crown accessory. Shave off your eyebrows or apply liquid latex to cover them up. After putting on your costume and the bald wig, apply liquid latex to the edge to seal it. After the latex has dried, apply pale makeup to your face and the part of the bald wig that will show in front of the red wig. Draw some thin eyebrows high on your forehead in eyebrow pencil. Apply blue eyeshadow from the eyelid all the way up to the painted-on eyebrow. Then paint your lips with a red heart shape. Make your Alice in Wonderland Red Queen costume complete with Victorian-style lace-up boots.
Tim Burton Alice in Wonderland Knave of Hearts Halloween Costume
Ilosovic Stayne, the Knave of Hearts, is the Red Queen's henchman in Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland. You can imitate his metal armor using cheap, readily available materials. Shape a large piece of cardboard into an armor chestplate. Then fashion a scallop that has a reverse of the detail of the scales on the armor. Your scallop should be indented in the places where the details are raised, and raised where they're indented. Cover the cardboard in a thin layer of no bake modeling clay such as Makin's Clay. Carefully sculpt the edges of the armor into a rounded piping. Also model the flaps that cover the hips. Then press your scallop into the clay at intervals across the chest and back area of the armor to create the scale decoration. After you complete your modeling with the no-bake clay, allow it to rest in a dry place for at least 24 hours. Paint the entire armor chestplate with pewter-colored acrylic craft paint.
Get a dark gray shirt with horizontal red stripes to go under the armor. Also get some dark gray athletic pants and some tall black or dark gray boots. Add a cardboard extension to the top of the front of the boots and paint it to match their color. Then either find or make a long dark gray cape. Use liquid latex, gelatin or nose wax to create a scar down the left side of your face. Get a red or black heart-shaped eye patch and tie it on your head with an elastic string or attach it to your face with spirit gum.
Tim Burton Alice in Wonderland Mad Hatter Halloween Costume
To start making a Tim Burton Alice in Wonderland Mad Hatter Halloween costume, get a pink shirt with a stand-up collar and some dark pinstriped pants. Find a double-breasted vest with a diagonal checker pattern. Find a long brown frock coat and distress and stain it to make it look worn and aged. Replace the buttons on the frock coat with buttons of different colors and designs. Add some white lace cuffs to the ends of the sleeves of the frock coat or shirt. Get some fingerless gloves in brown plaid and an oversized bow tie in a loud and bold pattern. Then get a large top hat and cover it with black lace. Wrap a pink sash around the base of the top hat and insert some large hat pins around the center of the hat. Write "10/6" on a small piece of white paper and place it in the Mad Hatter hat band. String some spools of different colored thread together into a large circle. Place the thread spools over your left shoulder and wear the frock coat on top of them. Stuff a pink handkerchief into the right pocket of the frock coat and some ribbons in the left pocket. Paint your face white and place pink and plum colored makeup in the hollows of your cheeks, on the sides of your nose and around your eyes. Get a bright red curly fright wig and style it so that it sticks out from the sides of your head. Also place bright red false eyebrows above your eyes with spirit gum. Paint your eyelashes with white makeup to complete this Disney Halloween costume.
