Tim Floyd Casino Fight Video Has USC Fans Conflicted

As Tim Floyd Steps in to Break Up the Fight, He's Nearly Ambushed

Ex-USC head basketball coach Tim Floyd is the star of a viral video making the rounds on the internet. He might be out of a job and persona non grata in Los Angeles, but he could find a little side work as a bouncer in a casino, especially the one in Cabazon, California, where he recently helped in breaking up a fight between some women. Tim Floyd left his successful USC basketball program under a cloud of scandal and allegations that he condoned and participated in some recruiting violations, including the recruitment of high school All-American A. J. Mayo. Although USC fans might have liked to see Tim Floyd decked in the video, and one red-haired female seemed intent on doing just that, he seemed to escape from the incident relatively unscathed.

Tim Floyd appears in the video as several women seem to be fighting in a Morongo Casino cafeteria. At least two are on the floor. As a couple more women attempt to interject themselves into the fray, Tim Floyd seems to steer one woman away. The aforementioned redhead decides that Tim Floyd has suddenly become an obstacle and must be removed, so she grabs a chair. As she hoists it overhead, a fairly large male, apparently a man who does not like to see bodily injury done to an unsuspecting person, grabs the chair as the redhead starts her swing. She begins a tug of war with the guy who has no idea how it's done in the WWE.

There are several blogs and websites that make snarky comments about Tim Floyd, like the guy grabbing the chair could not have been a USC fan (implying that if he had been, he would have let the red-haired woman hit him with the chair).

Tim Floyd took the USC Trojans to three straight NCAA basketball tournaments. Hailed as one of the rising coaches in the NCAA, the former Chicago Bulls head coach's star collided with the rules committee of the NCAA when it was alleged that he had made a cash payment to A.J. Mayo's handler in exchange for the high school standout to commit to playing basketball for USC. According to ESPN, Tim Floyd resigned in June. The same day, three USC ballplayers announced they were going pro. Needless to say, the result was a USC basketball program in turmoil.

But if he is done with basketball, perhaps giving lectures on conflict resolution might be in his future. He already has a video example...
