Tim McGraw Collaborating with T. Pain and Chris Brown

In today's ever-changing world, recording artists of different genres continue to mix their styles to bring new sounds as well as new listeners. There has been numerous genre-mixing collaborations such as Run DMC and Aerosmith, DMX and Limpbiskit, Beyonce and Shakira and so on. When recording artists of different genres collaborate it helps listeners to respect other types of music than what they regularly listen to. Country music recording artists Tim McGraw is no stranger to collaborating with hip-hop and R&B recording artists, and because it Tim McGraw is very well-known among the fans of these various genres.

Four years ago Tim McGraw hooked up with the melodic hip-hop recording artist Nelly to record "Over and Over." Despite what many critics were saying about the song before it was released, it actually was very well accepted within the hip-hop and R&B world as well as the country music world. This collaboration actually helped hip-hop heads as well as many country music lovers realize that these two genres of music aren't very different. The content of both country and hip-hop music are extremely similar. The only obvious difference is the style of the music. McGraw has recently hooked up with a few more hip-hop and R&B artists for collaborations.

Hip-hop and R&B singer T. Pain has plans to collaborate with Tim McGraw. T. Pain said that the two talked about collaborating when they met at a Saturday Night Live appearance. Everyone knows that T. Pain has a very distinct style. Even though there are many hip-hop and R&B singer's who have been borrowing his style, there is only one T. Pain. With that said, it will be very interesting to see what kind of style will come out of the collaboration with Tim McGraw. T. Pain has promised that their collaboration will be different than that of McGraw and Nelly. He says that he is aiming for more of a country music sound with this collaboration than a hip-hop sound.

It has also been reported that Tim McGraw has collaborated on a new single for R&B singer Chris Brown's upcoming album. The new single is titled "Human." When these types of collaborations are heard about, it usually causes mixed feelings among music lovers, but on the flipside the outcome is usually positive. Mixing different genres of music is like a chemist mixing chemicals. It's hard to tell what type of reaction they will get. The beauty of recording is that they can make something that doesn't sound so good, sound awesome!
