Tim Tebow Crying and John 16 33

Stacey Doyle
Tim Tebow crying made sports enthusiasts around the world speak up with mixed opinions. Some watchers felt Tim Tebow crying was babyish while others thought it showed his dedication to football. But why was Tim Tebow crying and what does it have to do with Bible verse John 16:33?

The Tim Tebow crying moment was caused by the Florida Gators loss to Alabama Crimson Tide in yesterday's SEC Championship game. With one minute left in the game and a score of 32-13, Tim Tebow started crying.

Watchers commented even John 16:13 could not prevent the Tim Tebow from crying. Tim Tebow is know for writing a Bible verse in the black under his eyes before a game. For this game, he used John 16:13 which reads as follows:

These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.

It seems those tribulations caught up to this Florida University player, as evidenced by the Tim Tebow crying moment. Do you think he will find peace even though he will not get to be in another National Championship with the Florida Gators?

Tim Tebow actually did well during the game, throwing a total of 247 yards. What do you feel about a football player like Tim Tebow crying after his team loses?

Anyone who has a problem with tears being shed by Tim Tebow needs to examine their own lives and grow up. I wonder just how of the people who made all the negative comments has ever played a sport of any kind in their lives. I've played; my brothers, my dad and now I am a mom of a son who plays baseball in college and a son n law who plays semi-pro football. If you have played or your have children playing and you or the family memebers play with all their heart and soul in the games then you would understand where the tears are coming from his heart, it was his last SEC game. Crying does not make a man "unmanly" in fact right the opposite. In fact "Jesus wept"! that speaks volume within its self no I am not comparing Tebow to Jesus just stating it is ok to cry.
Just wondering why no one seem to have a problem with Mark Ingram crying on National TV? He's a great player who plays with his heart and he cried so does this make him a cry baby or maroon? NO

It's never good to see anyone in tears but I have to make an exception for Tebow. Warrior my a**; he's wimpish. Hey, you win some, you lose some. Man up! At the end of the day, its a game. You can't handle a college football game? Most likely can't handle real life, either. I understand that a game of this magnitude is important but it shouldn't bring a man to the point of a breakdown. Tebow's delusional to think he could have everything his way ALL the time. And, he's not a team player judging by his apparent desire to do it all himself. Selfish is what I say.

I feel that Tim Tebow's crying shows his dedication to his team and the bible verse is John 16:33. I have seen many football players cry their senior year at a loss so why make a big deal about Tebow. I think people are trying to start something just because he's a Christian guy and they need to grow up.
