Tim Urban has been dubbed the adorable American Idol with wispy hair, a bright smile and bluer than blue eyes. He appeals to the teen and tween girls who vote but his shy smirk is beginning to get annoying. His lack of apparent self confidence may just be his downfall.
Tim Urban's "All My Loving" Performance: The Nitty-Gritty
Tim walked out with his hair styled toward his face. He was wearing a striped jacket and jeans. Tim Urban looked utterly Beatle-esque and could have been transported to the 1960s.
Tim Performed "All My Loving" with his electric guitar. He looked more comfortable singing and playing than he had in previous two weeks. The song started out slow but he picked the pace up with the melody.
What the Judges Said about Tim Urban's "All My Loving" Performance
Randy Jackson: Said that Tim is in his own category and that from now on he is going to judge Tim according to the Tim factor. Randy rated it a "Good Tim performance."
Ellen DeGeneres: Said that "All My Loving" was Tim Urban's second best performance. It was second only to his "Hallelujah" performance.
Kara DioGuardi: Said that Tim's best performances are when he has a guitar. She commended him for taking their criticism and putting it to use.
Simon Cowell: Thought that Tim did really well. He said that there were no gimmicks, it was not over sung, and Tim made the song current.
What the fans say about Tim Urban's "All My Loving" Performance
Kim Keason (Me): Tim Urban's performance was just okay. I didn't love it, but I didn't hate it. Tim said that he picked a "me" song and if that's the case then maybe I just don't like his style. I would have to agree with Randy on one thing. If you have to judge Tim Urban it may be best to use his own scale instead of comparing him to other performers.
Jason Keason, 7 years old: It was boring.
Kevin Keason, 5 years old: Um, sorry, I wasn't listening. I was playing with my Legos.
I think that sums up Tim Urban's performance of "All My Loving." The judges may have thought it was great but the American Idol fans at my house thought it was boring.

For him, it was okay but he's really not Idol material.
Agree again, "boring" but with a little "b". Lee was good, how come you didn't write about him? He's number 2, under Crystal on my "fan sheet!"
Tim was awesome last night. His shaggy haircut and electric guitar actually made him seem more authentic, in an early-Beatles kind of way. He played to his target demographic of teenage girls, so he made a wise song choice.
