Time Crunch Hairstyles: Elegant - Low Side Pin Bun

S
To all you girls out there on the go and want to keep it pretty, this goes out to you! Even on those days you seem to have the worst hair, this do' is for you.

Let's start off by saying you need long or medium length for this look. The Low Side Pin Bun is very simple and fast to complete and offers a low-side swept bun. You can complete this look in a matter of seven minutes - tops.

What you are going to need for the Low Side Pin Bun:

Chopstick Hair clip (If you don't know what this is - it is a semi-curved clip but without the clip. Instead of opening a clip with the little teeth to hold your hair, there are holes in each side of the semi-curved clip that you run a chopstick through; the chopstick should be included with the clip)

Hair band (Elastic band)

Shine spray

Comb

First Step:

Working with brushed out hair - spray a little Shine Spray on your hair. Use the comb to make a side part in your hair (you pick - right part or left). Going the in the opposite direction of the part, gather all your hair into a group and make a ponytail under the ear section.

Second Step:

Working with the low ponytail you just made under your ear area (remember: if you have a part going to the right, then you will have a pony going to the left; if you have a part going to the left, the you will have a pony going to the right). Depending on how long your hair is - you are going to twist the ponytail once in an upward direction (you may have to twist it two or three times if you have really long hair).

Third Step:

After you have twisted the ponytail up once - you are going to fold the ponytail up onto that twist and hold it there. You should have a flat looking bun at this moment. Place the base to the chopstick clip on top of that bun. Run the chopstick through the holes on the clip making note weave over, under, over in the bun until you reach the next clip hole (this will hold your hair in tight).

NOTE: Make sure you don't make the bun too tight because this will cause the do' to look less elegant and show that you only spent little time on your look. Allowing the bun to be semi-flat and the hair to flow from the top a little and the bun to sag a little in the bottom will add an elegance to your look.

Fourth Step:

Time to put icing on the cake. Give your hair an all over light spray of hair spray for a little extra support.
