Time Magazine's Person of the Year: YOU!!!

BIRD NAMED JEFF
Person of the Year: YOU!!!

If you haven't already read about it, typed about it or shared it with others then here is the scoop. You are the Person of the Year according to Time magazine. You have taken the time to explore the World Wide Web and left a foot print. You have contributed to the very foundation of what is to come from the future. And you have shaped the lives of many by what you have shared in your thoughts, ideas and styles.

This is the Web and this is the best place to give, get and share information. Over the last few years there have been millions of things put onto the web for people to read. Anyone that desires to sale a service or product today will likely have a website built for that product or service. Everyday there are more and more people downloading files, music and information they are looking for. The web offers an unlimited resource for those of us looking for something. And You the Person of the Year have made it possible to find what they are looking for.

We are all part of a growing family on the web. Each of us is a very important part of that family that is depended upon to provide knowledge of what we know. Like all family there are a few that try to cause problems by infecting others with misinformation or viruses. But on a whole you are all good people.

If you are not part of the content providing public that makes up the web then there is still time to get started. Start today. Find a blog site or join here at Associated Content or any of the other many sites that offer opportunities for you to share your knowledge and information that others might find interesting, thought provoking or even totally debatable.

There are no limits to what you might be able to contribute on the web. There are sites for everything from computer to cars, from building a house to designing a room, from how to succeed at business to how to deal with personal failure or lose. If you have something to say or something you can add there are people on the web looking to read it, to gain from your knowledge.

You are changing the world we live in. You have provided videos of your lives and submitted them for others to see. Provided audio feeds so others can listen to what you have to say. As Lev Grossman said in his Time Magazine article about Person of the Year the thing that makes all this possible is the thing called the World Wide Web.

The web itself has changed from an easy way for a small group of people to share information to a huge business of information where the world is sharing everything. All of these changes have taken just over fifteen years. With the start of the New Year you can bet there will be even more changes, more ways for people to share. And more people willing to share as more people discover the power of the web.

For those of us using the web on a daily bases and talking to others through some of the many blogs or websites we have found that the world is indeed becoming a small place. One minute we might be talking to someone from another state. The next minute we might be sharing with someone from another country. Today you might be thinking of emailing a friend or family member you haven't seen or that you're keeping in touch with through the use of email. Tomorrow you might be making plans to visit your friends you made around the world.

Go ahead and celebrate. This is your year. This is your time. You are the person of the year and the world is waiting to hear from you. And you are waiting to hear from the world.

Please forward this to letters@time; I can't connect with them: have difficulty believing you omitted Tiger Woods and the gov of Calif
on you 100 list. Tiger is the most famous and influential entertainer in the world, and the gov is certainly more influential; than half of
    your people.
I've only been a subscriber for 68 years, but these omissions are the biggest screwup during that time, even more so than the anti-Luce
    liberalism that has pervaded Time.

I haven't added anything to the web like this. so does that mean I'm not a person of the year also?
