At forty-nine I have finally come to realize that time is my master. At this age you start to reflect on things you have done, and things you have not done. At this age you start to realize things that you can still get done, and things you will never get done, because time is your master.
One thing I have wanted to do is to make an impact on our environment, as I have developed one belief system in my forty-nine years; "There are no passengers on our planet earth, we are all members of the crew!"
With that belief in place, I knew that I needed to do something, but what? I am just a small grain of sand on a very large beach, who was going to listen to me, or what impact could I make?
Our Creator endows each of us with special talents so that we can go out and make our mark in His world, so that we can rise above that little gain of sand, and become someone of interest that people will listen too. It though is our responsibility to find our talent, and become all that we can be. Unfortunately the Creator does not let us know, but He will give us hints.
Time is our master, and we only have but a certain limit to find out. But many do of course, and that is how we get people like Paul Watson who becomes the founder of Sea Shepherd Conservation Society, or Anthony Marr who becomes an advocate on animal rights, and Rodger Schlickeisen who became the president of Defenders of Wildlife. These and many others like them find their talent and niche and make their mark on the world because; "There are no passengers on our planet earth, we are all members of the crew!"
Well I myself wanted to make my mark, but what in the world could the Creator have given me as a talent to rise above just a tiny grain of sand? Well I have been writing opinion articles I have a talent with writing, but how much of a mark and impact could that make? I like to make up children's stories for my youngest daughter, well I could possible write a children's book on the environment, but I know for a fact I am not an artist, how in the world could I illustrate it?
Well the Creator does provide what you need, as I found my talent the Creator made sure that I met and developed a relationship with a great artist/illustrator. We were able to put together a children's book series, and now it is in publication. So maybe between the two of us, we both will rise above being the small gains of sand on the beach, and our books will impact the lives of children who read them, and possibly change the outcome of the future of our planet.
There is so much more that I would like to do, and hopefully I will accomplish a lot of what I want, but again I know that time is my master, it took me forty-nine years to accomplish just what I have so far. Maybe with a little luck and a lot of help from the Creator I will accomplish many of my goals.
How about you? Are you just a passenger or will you take the approach; "There are no passengers on our planet earth, we are all members of the crew!" Remember though that just as time is my master it is also yours.
Find out what your talent is that the Creator bestowed upon you so that you can rise up above that tiny gain of sand like so many others have. You can do it others have and each of us have the power inside of us we just have to reach deep inside and find what has been given to us to use.
Just one man's opinion. As always, put the wind in your hair and keep the sun to your back. Be good and stay safe. Peace, Love and Prosperity to all.
Good Journeys!!!
