I first started working from home in 2005. During that time I had four young children and several pets and a husband. Now my kids are older and much easier to work around. Back then time was something that was always crammed here and there with daily living, let alone adding a job to it. Needless to say, it was a mess until I figured it out.
The first step to clearing up my time and enjoying life more I had to get out my paper and pencil. I am a list maker, with a busy life it is the only way to get through everything. Since I have more than one job I wrote each down and how much I made at each beside it. Of course a couple of my jobs made more at certain times than others. This made putting them into time slots a bit easier. My list looked liked this:
5am-wake, make kids breakfast, start Crockpot or take out food from freezer for dinner
6am- kids awake and ready for school, take animals out
7am- kids off to bus
7:30am-quick clean bathrooms and kitchen
8am to 12pm-work job 1
12 pm-lunch, take dogs out
12:30pm to 3:30pm- work job 2
3:30pm- kid's home from school, help with homework
4:00pm to 6:00pm-start dinner, eat, clean up and finish kid's homework
6:00 pm to 8:00pm- kids take showers and get settled for the night, tuck kids in
8:00pm to 10:00pm- work job 3
10:00pm-shower and bed
If you make a list similar to this you will be able manage your time better. Always make sure you take at least one day off a week to reduce stress. I used to work 7 days straight and got burnt out pretty quickly. I use my day off to spend time with the family, do major cleaning, grocery shop, making monthly menu's or do my once a month cooking. Of course I will spend that evening doing my favorite thing to do in my time off and that is to take a hot bubble bath and read a great book.

I love to read and even more love to write. If there is something to learn out there I am up to my elbows in it. Researching just about everything is only one of my many interests. View profile
