Time Out Iraq War - Presidential Election Put War on Hold

Recent Presidential Election Dismissed the Unruly Topic of Iraq

IRAQ, what was once thought to be the most debatable topic in this 2008 Presidential Race was almost ignored. With no viable solutions to solve it, and no realistic way to implement what solutions have been conceived; Iraq has been sent to "time-out".

Just like an unruly child, the tantrums are so overwhelming and unbearable that you know that something has to be done to stop the outbursts. So an action is taken, put the child in "time-out". Keeping them quiet and perhaps now with them out of the way, almost forgotten. If the child decides they don't like "time-out" they will occasionally wander out of their rooms or corners and we grumpily tell them to go back.

We realize that the "corner' will never solve the child's outbursts but instead it allows us time to breathe and think. Eventually we will remember the child is there and once calmed down we will find ourselves now ready to deal with the real issue behind the problem, and create a viable solution.

So it is with Iraq.

The recent candidates found the Iraq War unruly. It has many sudden outbursts, tantrums and even some pouting. So the Presidential candidates put the issue in "time-out". They rather focused on the economy with the occasional peeking of the war. Then the war is sent back to the corner and is still waiting for the time when Barack Obama and his staff will begin to really find solutions to the problem.
