Time Warner Vs. Comcast?

Bob Young
It baffles me that why is Time Warner Roadrunner continuing to advertise aggressively when the name is about to change to Comcast? In case you have not heard Time Warner Roadrunner is merging with Comcast. You wonder then why would they continue to spend money on a brand name that is about to change. If the company is looking to cut their costs then this would be a great area to look into. There is no reason to advertise on a vanishing name.

I am happy that they are merging and changing to Comcast. I hope they make changes to their repair downtime. Roadrunner is great and super fast when it works. But God help you if it goes down. You call them and go through a litany of questions and they will tell you it will be 2-3 days before a technician can come fix it. It is very frustrating. unacceptable. What are you supposed to do meanwhile?

Their answer is get 'commercial' roadrunner service which is 2-3 times higher priced. If I had telephone service through them then I would be sunk to have to wait without phone service for 2-3 days.

This is one reason I do not get multiple services through one vendor. These days they want you to get roadrunner, phone, cable & alarm monitoring through Roadrunner. Just imagine if your service goes down. You don't have phone, no internet, no TV, no alarm. You are in deep trouble while Roadrunner takes the laid back attitude that a technician will be there in 2-3 days.

It is obvious that Time Warner Roadrunner has very few technicians. I was talking to a technician about the upcoming change to Comcast. He was hoping that things will change because he and his family are equally frustrated with long down times.

If you get tired of Roadrunner and need to change then register at Switchemail.com so you don't lose your emails. Any bounced email can be forwarded to find@switchemail.com and they will get it to the new email address.
