Time4Learning: A Lifesaver for Homeschooling Families

Alicia Bodine
My daughter is currently in the 6th grade. We absolutely love using Horizons Math curriculum, but it doesn't offer courses past 6th grade. This got me searching for what I should do once the school year is over. I wasn't happy with the math courses I was finding. They didn't offer enough review of previous lessons, and just jumped to the next concept.

One day I came across Time4Learning while searching the Internet. I was impressed with the website immediately. Parents can choose the grade their child is in, but Time4Learning allows the child to go back a grade if they need help, or jump up a grade if they feel bored. Lessons can be repeated as many times as the child needs.

Although, my daughter doesn't need a new math curriculum until next year, I let her start using the Language Arts and Science programs on Time4Learning. As an added bonus, Time4Learning is offering a 6-week art program that my daughter will be eligible to use after she has been with Time4Learning for one month.

Time4Learning is extremely affordable at $19.95 per month. This price includes a full Math, Language Arts, Science, and History curriculum. Additional children can join for $14.95 per month each. Purchasing 4 separate subjects for my daughter runs about $600, but with Time4Learning I only spend a total of $200 for the school year.

In conclusion, Time4Learning not only offers a fun way for children to complete their school work, but they also keep records for parents to use if they have to report their child's progress. Fortunately, I live in the state of New Jersey where homeschooling laws are extremely lenient. I don't have to report anything, but I still print out my daughter's progress and keep a record of her grades.
