When the clouds clear, get a pedicure so you can be ready to wear all the styles of sandals for spring. This year, flat metallic sandals go well with white capris and a flowing top. They also make a great match with skinny jeans. Pairing shoes with this cut of jeans can be tricky -- stay away from bulky wedges and tennis shoes. Heels look great with skinny jeans, as do ballet flats, just make sure the shoe does not make your foot like wider than it is, or it will appear out of proportion to the ankle. If you have curvy hips, wear heels with skinny jeans, as they will make your legs look longer and leaner.
Bright, bold prints are another great trend for spring. You don't want to overwhelm your body with pattern, however, so use bold prints on just one piece rather than all over. One exception: pick a spaghetti-strap dress that hits just below the knee. If you are petite, wear this dress with heels to make you look taller and avoid getting lost in the pattern. If you are very tall, you can even wear a dress like this that falls to the ankles. With bold, all-over pattern, keep the hair and accessories simple. Or you can go the other direction -- choose a neutral top and pants, and carry a bag with a crazy print you wouldn't dare wear anywhere else!
Most importantly, pick clothes, shoes, and accessories that are comfortable. Spring fashion is all about being casual and effortless, and celebrating the new season with a carefree attitude.
