Timely Reflection

These men and women all went through the test
They struggled through trial and did their best
Putting on armor and covered in prayer
Green covered camo' hiding they were there
Mailing home letters to tell of their trip
Making the ultimate act of friendship
Remember those who have fallen away
Not due to self but to enemy's sway
They fought for us so let us do the same
Give them their honor and call them by name
Army and navy and the coast guard too
Air force and marines fought for me and you
Never forget them the tried and the true
Many are chosen but called are the few
In this alumni of very brave men
