"Tina Will's art is influenced and inspired by world events, every day objects, personal emotions
and interactions, music and nature...in short: Inspired by life.
She renders expressions of her own life experiences and personal thoughts.
Tina grew up in Germany, and spent a big part of her childhood studying art in her grandma's sewing studio/kitchen. Later she completed a 3 year apprenticeship for architectural drawing and
went to Art school (Kerschensteiner, Wiesbaden).
Now in her 10th year in the US, she has completed a digital graphic design diploma at the Art
Institute of Colorado, and is taking ongoing painting classes and art education workshops at
the Denver Art Museum, in Taos NM, and at the Denver Art Students League.
She has done freelance illustration work and until recently was the owner of a Mural painting business.
Tina's paintings and drawings have been shown in several juried shows and restaurants in Denver, CO.
She was an exhibiting artist at the 2009 Colorado Art Open at the Foothills Art Center in Golden, CO.
Her art is displayed at the NEXT gallery in Denver's Navajo art district.
Tina loves to experiment with unusual color combinations, simple shapes and lines, and is fascinated
by contrast. Recurring patterns (mostly stripes and soft organic circular shapes) unify her art pieces.
She is drawn to abstraction, and feels like painting and drawing is her way to push away
the conventional, and to escape from what society expects from us as adults.
Creating art is a constant developing process for her, and she hopes to eventually draw and paint
as free as a child again one day...with that courage and confidence of the young girl
on grandma's kitchen table.
For her, drawing art cards is a great way to loosen up and totally relax while creating a mini piece of art.
She likes that you can bring fresh ideas onto an art card quickly and thinks that art cards are a
wonderful way to make art affordable for everyone.
Oh, and she dreams of a time travel to Germany (mid 1920s) to meet Wassily Kandinsky and Paul Klee."
