Playing games is the fastest and most effective way of earning neopoints. Play games daily. Check the points-to-neopoints ratio of your favourite games regularly as this can change depending on the popularity of the game. It's also worth playing the double-neopoints game daily; you might not be good at it but it will earn your twice as many neopoints as usual. Remember that you can only submit three scores per day, so if you aren't happy with one of your scores don't submit it. Have a look at the list of top rated games. These will be the games most people find fun and probably with the highest point-to-neopoints ratio as well.

When the daily dare is running try and play all of the games on it. Even if you're not very good at one of the games, Abigails score for each is usually very low. You might not earn many neopoints for playing but when you beat her you will get prizes which you can then sell. It's worth investing in stock. You can only buy stocks if they're worth 15+ points. Only buy stocks which are worth 15 or 16 points as this makes it easier to earn maximum profit on them. You can buy 1000 stocks each day; if you have enough neopoints to allow you to do this I would. It can take a while for stocks to go up. Only sell once they're worth atleast 100% more than what you bought them for. You can wait and see if they will continue to increase in value above 100% but with this you also risk them decreasing in value and having to wait for them to go back up again.

Put all your spare neopoints in the bank and collect your interest daily. Upgrade your bank account whenever possible as this increases the percentage of your interest. You have to collect your interest yourself so make sure you remember to do this daily.

Buy scratchcards. Do not scratch them. Instead, auction them. You can buy Lost Desert scratchcards for 500 neopoints and sell them for 660+ neopoints, depending on how rare the card is. Check the price for each type of card on the shop wizard, but do not sell them in your shop. If you auction them instead you have the chance to increase your profits as people bid against each other.

Sell everything you don't need. If it's worth over 200 neopoints auction it to increase your earnings.

Do not buy food if possible. You can get free omelette and free jelly daily. The omelette is in Tyrannia and the jelly is in Jelly World. Jelly World no longer has a link to it on the neopets site but the Jelly World webpage is still active. Also, visit the Healing Springs. The Water Fairy sometimes cures your pets hunger. You can visit the healing springs every 30 minutes. Also, go to the Underwater Fishing. Sometimes you only catch junk but you also catch fish which you can feed your pets with. Each of your pets can go fishing once a day.

Do quests whenever there is one running. Once you've completed the quest or got as many quest points as possibly you can earn objects which you can then sell on.
