Here, however, is what a Christian should do and be.
First...live like Christ. If you start to do something or say something, ask yourself first if Jesus would do it or say it. If Jesus would not do it or say it, then you should not either.
Second...give all you can when you can however you can. That means, you do not have to give money; just give of yourself and time. Maybe go to an elderly person's home and help with housework and cooking. Take someone to the store if their vehicle is broken down or they do not have one.
Third...be kind and considerate. If you are in line at a grocery store and have several items in your buggy, let the person behind you go in front of you if they only have a couple of items. We always tell our children to say "please" and "thank you", but do we always do it? Help someone pick up something they have dropped. If you are in traffic and having to wait, let someone out of a side road or parking lot.
Fourth...write or call a friend you know is having a difficult time. Give someone you love a hug. Tell someone you love them. If you know someone is sick, take them some food and offer to help them if they need it.
Fifth...do not let people get you down. If someone says that you are crazy for believing in God, politely tell them you will pray for them. Get used to persecution, it is the one thing that as a Christian we can count on.
Sixth...always be prepared for someone who asks you to prove there is a God. Just look around you and you will see all kinds of proof there is a God (i.e. flowers, trees, stars, sun, moon, grass et cetera). If they say they believe in the Big Ban Theory, ask them (politely) how something that kills and destroys (an explosion) could have made such beauty and humans. If they believe in evolution, simply ask them why apes and monkeys are not still evolving? Why did it stop and when did it stop? Really give them something to think about. In other words, answer their questions with questions. And one thing that will really get someone is ask them to prove (and not scientifically) there is not a God. They must prove it without the use of any kind of science.
Seventh...smile! Let Jesus shine through you. All it takes is a smile, a kind word, a compliment, or a kind deed. Tell someone on the street (a stranger) that they have a nice smile, a nice hair cut, nice clothes or shoes, or just smile and say hello.
Being a Christian is the one thing you should be the proudest of. Let the whole word know you are a Christian, but not just on Sundays. Let Christ shine through you every day of the week. God bless!
