Are you someone who is about to move into a college dorm room to share with someone else? If so, you will need to do certain things to make the other person's experience of living with you a pleasant one. You will learn how to be an awesome college dorm roommate.

You should "agree to disagree" with the one living with you. You must be willing to compromise and meet him halfway on various matters. Even when the two of you cannot see eye to eye on something, you should not become mad and resort to insults, threats or violence.

You should not argue or go back and forth on an issue with her. Also, you should not have the attitude that you are always the one who is right. If you reach a point where you cannot get your point across or convince her to change her mind about something you are passionate about, you must move on and change the subject or walk away.

You must respect his privacy. The first way you can do this is give him his own personal space and leave him alone at his request. The second is let him change clothes and get dressed in private. The third is not ask him questions that are too personal. The fourth is not touch his belongings without his permission.

You must keep up your hygiene. You must brush and floss your teeth at least once a day and frequently take a bath or shower then put on deodorant and fresh clothes.

You should make an arrangement with her to set rules both of you are to adhere to. This is a powerful way to ensure harmony.

You must be helpful. It would be nice to help him out when he needs it, as long as he is not doing anything wrong.

You must be respectful. One thing you can do is not make loud noise or interrupt her when she is on the phone. Another is never attempt to put her down.

You should take a personal interest in him. The first way you can do it is ask him what his hobbies and interests are. The second is ask him how he is doing every day.

You should offer friendship. It is important to try to be a good friend to her.

You must be willing to do some chores. You should at least offer to split the cooking and cleaning duties with him.
