If you have the honor of being invited to a wedding and sharing one of the most important days in this couple's lives, you should take the necessary steps to make sure that you are a great guest. This doesn't have to take a lot of hard work or even a lot of sacrifices. Basically, it will take a bit of thinking, a bit of etiquette and a lot of bit of patience. Here are some guide tips to help you.
RSVP As Soon as You can
As soon as you decide on whether you will be attending the wedding, send in RSVP notice. The couple has a lot of arrangements to make. The sooner they have an exact total number on how many guests will be attending the easier it will be for them to make these arrangements.
Pay Attention to The Invite
If your invitation states that you can bring a date, then you know there is room for one more at your table. If it doesn't state this fact, honor the invite and attend the wedding solo. This is not the place to make the day about you and you don't want to screw up the seating plans, etc.
Be Early
Try to get to the wedding around thirty minutes before the actually ceremony time. It may take you time to find a parking place, etc.
Wear Colorful Accessories
You can stick with wearing ivory or cream colored dresses. You can even wear black if you wish, although many still frowns on this color because it really isn't a color known for celebrating anything. But don't forget to add some pretty colorful accessories to brighten up your attire.
Don't Rush To Upload Your Pictures
Yes, this is the age of social media. We all love posting our favorite pictures online. However, it is rude to go home and start posting the pictures you took at the wedding. It is better to allow the bride and the family time to upload their pictures. Remember, they will have some great professional ones to share with everyone soon.
Exit Politely
Never leave before saying goodbye to the bride and groom. You should also try to stick around to at least the cake cutting part of the festivities.
Remember if you are a great wedding guest, you may get to enjoy the couple's next wonderful party.

I just attended my brother's wedding on August 13th, and according to your list it sounds like I did good. : )

Good tips.
These are important points to be aware of at any wedding. Guests really need to remember that the day isn't about them. It's about the bride and groom. A lot of hurt feelings and misunderstandings can be avoided if people remember that.
