Boxer puppies tend to make great family dogs and have a friendly disposition. In addition, Boxer puppies received the name "Boxer" because of the dog's ability to stand on his hind legs like a boxer. Also, Boxer dogs are hard workers and this breed has been trained to be hunters, guard dogs and hold many other positions. Boxer dogs are very loving with the household but very cautious of strangers. It's really important to find information on the breed of puppy when deciding to purchase a puppy. There are some suggestions to consider when buying a puppy and deciding on boxer puppy training.
  1. Research Characteristics of the Boxer Breed. Boxer puppies tend to need a lot of attention and exercise. Many puppies are unable to deal with being left alone and could develop emotional problems. Also, Boxer puppies will need plenty of exercise so that the puppy does develop any health problems. The puppy will engage in negative behavior or activity to gain more attention from his owner. If you don't have a lot of time to devote to a Boxer puppy then this is not the puppy for your household.
  2. Encourage the Puppy to Socialize. Boxer Puppies are very sociable animals and this is a good characteristic for a puppy. Boxer Puppies wants to be around other people and animals. The puppy owner will want to put the puppy in plenty of social situations to meet other people and dogs. Also, the Boxer puppy should know the difference between friends and strangers.
  3. Start Early with Obedience Training. Boxer puppies can make great companions but can exhibit some negative behaviors. The puppy owner should start obedience training from the first day of receiving the puppy. Boxer puppy training can take some time but remember to be patient with puppy. Many new boxer puppies will need time to adjust to their environment.

Moreover, a Boxer puppy seems like a lot of responsibility but the joy of owning a Boxer puppy will outweigh the negative.
