Tips for Breaking Your Child Into Baby Modeling

Belle Story
Are other people besides just you and your husband continually saying your baby is adorable? Do you hear it from the server when you go out to eat as a family, the lady who hands out free cookies at the grocery store, and even your personal banker? In that case, you must have a seriously cute kid! Is everyone telling you how you should get your child into baby modeling? Or perhaps you're an actress yourself who would love to have your baby follow in your footsteps. If your baby has a wide range of unique expressions, she would probably be great at acting. Baby modeling can also provide you with money to save for your child's future or provide the income for you to continue being a stay at home mom!

Your child could earn lots of money as a baby model; this would allow you to act as her manager, taking her to auditions, and using her income to allow you to continue staying home with her rather than working.

The question is how do you get your child into baby modeling? Before you try to turn your child into a baby model, closely observe her personality and reactions to typical things. This will demonstrate how well your baby will handle the serious demands of a modeling career. How does your baby react to strangers? There will be no shortage of them during a modeling shoot or at an audition. Does your baby remain content even when she misses her nap time? A baby who can adjust well to changes in their naps and feeding time will make a great baby model.

If you've decided your child has the right temperament for baby modeling, here are the tips to get her started! The best way for adults to find legitimate modeling jobs is through a modeling agent; babies are no different. There is a process to finding an agent to represent your child. The first step is to take a couple of good photos of your budding baby model. Adult talent agents require professional headshots; the requirements for babies are much simpler! If you have a photography hobby, take them yourself or ask a family friend to take them; agents just want to see if your baby is cute and expressive. Take three-quarter shots and one or two close ups. Babies don't need a portfolio to find an agent. Next, find talent agents in your general proximity- up to an hour away. (Remember, if they choose to sign your child as a baby model, you may be driving there often.) Send each agent your child's photos along with a letter of introduction. The best advice is to wait for the agent to get in touch with you, but you may follow up with them in a week if you don't hear anything. Keep in mind, you're looking for a legitimate agency. Scams are easy to spot. True modeling agencies will never ask for money. Baby modeling works like this: agencies book your child for a modeling gig, and once your child gets paid, your agent receives a percentage. You never pay anything upfront!
