We go through this fast paced, modern, 'no time to take time' world and never sit back to understand how fortunate we are to have one another. Community networks are important to the well-being and development of each individual on this earth.
Through familial links, ideals are passed on that give shape to how we live. There is someone in your life that is the constant force that keeps you thinking in a positive light. Through this person, you understand the value of time, love, caring, sharing, and the need to enjoy and appreciate every day that we are blessed to wake up and make new starts.
Happiness is culture and having the people you love nearby makes you want to go forward and face whatever life has in store for you.
A few months ago, my mother made a point to tell me, " When someone asks you what was the most wonderful thing that happened to you today, tell him or her that you woke up this morning. That is good enough." I now live by that message because life is indeed precious and valued, especially in an era where life is sometimes take for granted. To me, a mother symbolizes comfort, dedication, and unconditional love.
This past Christmas, I was given the time to reflect upon how important my own family is to me. We can all get on each others nerves at points in time, but the love still surrounds us.For the immediate household, doing things like cooking together, eating at the table for dinner, watching movies as a family, and other small activities have been lost to many families. However, those things are the glue that holds a family together. There are ways to bring back the closeness of one's family.
a) Call your family members often to talk.
b) Invite your family members to the activities that you attend.
c) Share important details with your family because trust is important.
d) Have as many family gatherings as possible!
Expressing yourself can be difficult sometimes in this day and age. Nevertheless, in being honest with who you are in life gives you a much more enlightened perspective on how you want to live. Love your family and live life to the fullest this year.
