First off make sure you arrive early because this particular waterpark fills up quickly. They actually close when they are at maximum capacity and you will have to wait some hours to get in.
Pack lightly, the walk from the car to the entrance is pretty long if you don't park close and also the lockers are quite small, but we will get to the lockers in a bit.
What to pack when going to Aquatica:
Sunblock lotion or spray
Snacks that wont melt
Towels
Cash
Camera
There are lockers available for $10.00 and you get $5.00 back but these are really small. The large ones are $15.00 and get $5.00 back as well. Keep cash with you because the register sometimes don't work and you will be waiting in line for nothing.
Be sure to keep your pass with you when buying anything at the park because you get 10% off your purchase which is a good deal.
Grab a life jacket as soon as you get in as well, they are next to Loggerhead lane
If you have kids the best place to sit in my opinion is Kata's Kookaburra cove. This spot is great for toddler's and babies. They have slides and water sprayers and it is a small area for you to be able to keep an eye on them while you sit nearby. If you get to pick your seat choose the ones arround this area with an umbrella and make sure you leave your towels and sandals on the seats so no one will take them.
If you have older kids then Walkabout waters is the place to hang. This is the most fun for the older kids, you can bring your younger kids but you need to be with them at all times. This particular spot is really big. My daughter got lost when she went in it, it is like a maze and all the water doesn't let you see them which is why I think it's better for older kids that know there way back.
Loggerhead lane and Tassie's Twister are fun for everyone including toddlers and babies. You get to ride on a tube and if you decide to bring the little ones make sure you hold on tight to them. It sails you around with different areas of fun, you have water falling on you and an area where you see fish in a huge tank called The fish grotto.
Dolphin Plunge is exciting, it is a slide where you actually see dolphins when you go in it.
Walhalla Wave is very exciting, you are in a tube that sits four people and while you are going to the bottom it suddenly gets dark and after a few seconds you see light again and you are at the end.
Hooroo Run is next to Walhalla and it sits three people, this ride goes up and down while going to the bottom.
I will let you explore the other rides when you visit Aquatica, now let's talk food! Lets face it, the food can be expensive and that is why there is the option to buy what you will eat or buy an all day pass to an all you can eat buffet. I like to stay all day so I always get the all day pass and it is worth it. They also have an all day drink for $9.99 with free refills, also worth it if you will stay long.
There are 3 food spots, Waterstone grill, Banana beach cookout and Mango Market.
If you have kids and didn't bring any toys for them to play in the sand checkout the little kiosks that are all over Aquatica. They have a basket for $6.99 and it is by far the best price for toys I found. Don't forget your pass when purchasing any item or food!
I hope you enjoy your visit to Aquatica to the fullest, it is great for the whole family. I hope my tips help you on your next visit to Aquatica and that you can pass it on to your friends or family.
