The first thing you'll need for your Twilight Christmas tree is the actual Christmas tree itself. The standard Christmas tree color is green but for a Twilight theme, you can use either a red or black Christmas tree. If you use a red Christmas tree, then you can use all white Christmas lights or, if you can find them, all black Christmas lights. Black Christmas lights might actually be Halloween lights but if you put them on your Christmas tree, they are Christmas lights. If you use a black Christmas tree, either all red or white lights would look good. You might want to avoid mixing strands of red and white lights on your black Christmas tree together though to avoid the candy cane look. Icicle lights in either all white or all red would even work on the Twilight Christmas tree since it would add a certain dripping look. You can also add garland to your Twilight Christmas tree. Red or silver garland would look good on any color of Twilight Christmas tree.
Decorations for your Twilight Christmas tree are an absolute must. You can buy official Twilight ornaments at several places on the Internet in a wide range of prices. If you are on a budget though, you can create your own Twilight Christmas ornaments. Collect pictures from the Twilight and New Moon movies and books. Once you have a nice selection of Twilight pictures to choose from; gather together scissors; glue; ribbons in red, white and black and poster board. To create ornaments in any shape you want, all you need to do is glue your pictures to the poster board and cut it out in any shape you want. You can be creative and cut your pictures out of the poster board in shapes such as chess pieces, fangs, circles, squares, any shape you want. To hang your new Twilight ornaments on your Christmas tree; poke a hole near the top and thread a piece of ribbon through it. You'll be able to get quite a few ornaments out of one large piece of poster board.
If you would like to add a fun touch to your Twilight Christmas tree, you can hang plastic vampire teeth on it as ornaments. Just thread a piece of ribbon through the plastic vampire teeth and hang them on the Christmas tree. Chess pieces would also be a nice addition as ornaments to your Twilight theme Christmas tree.
If you have any of the popular Twilight Barbie figures, you can add one to the top of your Twilight Christmas tree with ribbon as a Christmas tree topper. If you have both the Edward and Bella Barbie's, you can attach both of them to the top of the Christmas tree as a pair. If you do not have one of the official Barbie Twilight character dolls, you can use an inexpensive doll and modify it to look like a character from the Twilight movies or books. You would need to find a picture of the character and plan around the picture to modify the doll to look like that particular character. It would be similar to creating a Halloween costume for the doll.
Once you have your Twilight Christmas tree decorated, you might turn your attention to the rest of the room your Christmas tree is in. With just a few additions, you can carry that Twilight theme out in the rest of the room. Place Twilight pictures around the room. Use your Twilight t-shirts to cover throw pillows for a Twilight decorative accent on chairs and the couch. Put the pillow inside the t-shirt with the picture on the front of the pillow. Then you can either tie ribbons around the pillow corners and t-shirt or just tie the t-shirt on the back of the pillow. And best of all, after the holidays you will still have your Twilight t-shirts to wear.
Perhaps you can sew or you know someone who can do some simple sewing that you can ask to create Twilight Christmas stockings for you. The Christmas stocking can be all red or black with a fabric Twilight picture on the front. The stockings can be either store bought or homemade and then a piece of fabric with a Twilight scene on it can be attached to the front of the stocking with fabric glue or hand stitching embroidery. I am not aware of any actual Twilight fabric available at this time but you can use a t-shirt and either cut off the picture for your Christmas stocking or sew the stocking out of the t-shirt itself.
If you or someone you know is crafty and creative, you can create a wonderful Twilight Christmas tree and with some imagination, you can have an entire room for your Twilight Christmas theme.
