Indoor Christmas decor does not have to be the same year after year. My family likes to use different Christmas decor every year. Trying something new can open you up to new decorating ideas that you could have never thought of before.
Elves are mostly known for their toy-making skills, but why not put them to work in your kitchen this Christmas? Elf decorations are easy to find at Christmas time anywhere Christmas decorations are sold. They can hang from your stove, the refrigerator, or they can sit on top of your microwave and spread Christmas cheer to any who pass by.
Metallic or pine garland can be draped from kitchen cabinets with a festive bow or ribbon between the cabinets. Putting a bow or ribbon on the cabinets, instead of in between them could cause them to block your cabinets from being closed all of the way. This is a clean and traditional look popular in most homes as Christmas decor.
Everyone likes presents, so decorating each kitchen cabinet in a different Christmas wrapping paper is a festive and eye-catching way to express your creative side during the holidays. Make the look complete by adding a Christmas bow along with ribbon.
Festive serving bowls, platters and dinnerware are a simple way to decorate your kitchen for Christmas when you don't care for all of the bells and whistles of the season. Sometimes simplicity and moderation are the best choice; either because of your budget or because you would rather spend your time on all o the other aspects of the holiday season. Check your local grocery stores for holiday dinnerware before going to the overpriced department stores that charge mostly for the name.
My daughter started a holiday tradition of decorating the refrigerator; not only did she decorate the outside but she put a Santa stuffed animal in the fridge too! Everyone that opened the refrigerator smiled when they were greeted by Santa Claus hanging out in the fridge. Stuffed animals are perfect for using in your refrigerator as a Christmas decoration as they will not chip or crack when exposed to heat or cold repeatedly.
