Tips for Designing a Home Meditation Room

Wouldn't it be amazing if we could go to a spa any time we wanted too? Whenever we felt stressed, or overloaded with work, you could just relax in your very own oasis? Now you can! Here are some tips on making a meditation room in your very own home!

Select a room that you feel the most peaceful in. Rather that be your home office or even your bedroom. Surround yourself with with colors that make you feel relaxed. Green and white for example make you feel relaxed and at peace when meditating.

Surround yourself with comfortable furniture to relax in. Also, if you practice yoga, its a nice idea to have comfortable carpet. Only surround yourself with things that are soft and relaxing. A nice Asian theme would be a great idea to transform your meditation room!

What about lighting? The best lighting would be to have wooden horizontal blinds. They give off the an amazing feeling within a room for relaxing.

Put a CD player in the room for just the right touch of relaxing music. Music can ease your mind and put you in a state of nirvana like you've never felt before. It is truly a key to relaxing, and not to mention, a great necessity for your meditation room.

Plants and flowers are a must also. When picking out your plants for your new room, make sure its nothing too bold and "spikey." Choose plants that are sort of leafy and have a soft feel to them. Plants can make you feel relaxed in a room. What better accessory to have in your meditation room?

Another decoration tip is to have low tables with books on them. This will give off a feeling of relaxation also. We all know how reading can relax the mind, so just being around the closure of books can put your mind at ease why mediating.

Invest in a water fountain for your new room. The sound of the flowing water can be the right touch to relaxing your stressed mind. Imagine sitting in the middle of your new room, at peace, with the sound of flowing water in the background just to ad the right touch of relaxation.

Whose heard of a mediation room without candles? Candle colors, believe it or not, are critical when placing them in your meditation room. Each color represents a different feeling and comfort. For example the color blue is used to focus the mind on health and self expression. Also it can help you concentrate on tranquility and peace. It helps you focus and understand those around you.

Meditation can be a great way of relaxing and easing stress. You no longer need to drive, and not to mention pay for pure bliss. You can make your very own oasis in your own home, and make it exactly how you wish!
