Tips for Dressing Formally While Pregnant

Staying Comfortable is the Key

RONYAE
Just because you're pregnant, doesn't mean that you don't still have appearances to make publicly. Being pregnant is a time when some have stated: "you glow"; a time when you are the most beautiful, because you are carrying another life. But that's the opinion of some, not all. If you have a special occasion to participate in, and you are pregnant-don't fear, there is a solution to having a night out and still accommodating your rounded figure. There are many retailers/suppliers that cater to those who have to wear maternity clothing. Not only are there formal outfits and dresses for a night out, but there are formal dresses and gowns for all occasions.

Now when you are planning for a night out, or that special occasion, you must be prepared to look good and remain comfortable. And nothing's more comfortable than a pair of shoes, while being pregnant. Your shoes should show style, elegance and be comfortable. When we state comfortable, we mean: no extremely high heels. High heels have a tendency to put a strain. A more comfortable pair of shoes to wear with your formal attire, would be made with a supportive small heel.

When choosing your shoes, be sure that they accent your dress or gown. You can coordinate the outfit by matching colors or prints. Sometimes, a simple pair of flat heeled black shoes will suffice.

Now depending on the occasion, you can choose from a cocktail dress or a formal dress or gown. When you choose your formal gown, you have a choice of either wearing a strapless, thin-straps, or with straps and a scarf to have for added coverage. This added accent helps when you want to cover stretch marks in certain areas. But if you are looking to cover a large area of 'known' stretch mark areas, choosing a long formal gown is the best choice.

If you have no fear of stretch marks or varicose veins, then a nice cocktail dress would be the choice for you. Coming in a large variety of colors and styles, the cocktail dress allows you to show off more legs; if you prefer this. Also available in strapless and accented with a scarf, the cocktail dress gives flair. But if you are a person who would like a bit more support around the shoulder areas, or choose to cover the shoulders more than a thin strap, there are dresses and/or gowns available for your choice to have your shoulders covered.

To finish the look, you can add a small clutch purse, in order to take less weight off your shoulders, add some nice earrings, a ring or two, bracelet(s), and/ or watch of your choice and head out the door for a splendid night. But remember-Keep comfort in mind!
