TIps on Finding Your Lost Contact Lens

I have worn contact lens for more than 20 years and I have had my share of lost ones. To some finding a lost contact can be easy but if you're like me with out my contact I could not see more than a foot in front of my face. In other words I look like Velma on the Scooby Doo show. It can be quite embarrassing when you have to crawl around on the ground while dragging your hands around trying to feel the lost lens.

I know that I could eliminate the contact lens search altogether by wearing glasses but my vision is so much better with the contacts. Glasses can not compare to the view I have with contacts. I feel I also look a lot nicer in contacts. Glasses slide down your nose and always seem to get in the way. I always seemed to have more of a greasy film on my face and major pimple break out. That all seemed to go away as soon as I started to use contact lens and got rid of the glasses.

When it comes to swimming what do you do with those glasses? I can remember taking them off and not being able to see anything. I always hated going swimming for that reason. With contacts you can at least wear them in the water with goggles. Goggles will allow you to open you eyes under the water while you swim. Have you tried to swim with glasses, it's impossible, isn't it?

Well if you have contacts than you know the one major down side to owning them. Losing a contact can be expensive to replace and may take a while before you are able to get it ordered and replaced. I have lost several contacts over the 20 years of wearing them and all but one I have found. I did eventually find that one also but only after I had one on order and paid for.

The main tool you need when you lose your contact is a flashlight. That is right, night or day a flash light will help you find your contact. The flash light will make your contact shine as you flash the light over it. The glass will reflect the light and shine on any surface.

I started to carry a flashlight keychain on my keys. With the flashlight keychain I always have one with me. It is just the right size and shines just enough light.
