The flu shot is getting more popular every year with more and more people getting a flu shot. Getting a flu shot does not completely protect you from getting the flu. Whether or not you have a flu shot here are some tips to help you stay healthy during flu season. Getting the flu can be very uncomfortable and can cause death in sever cases. Many people are hospitalized because of the flu annually and some of those people die from the flu each year. Each year the flu season is different. It can be a very bad season and people can get sick in great numbers. Or it can be a season that just goes by and hardly anyone is sick.

There are ways to help prevent getting the flu. You can avoid going into public places during the flu season but you may find that to be hard to do. You can avoid touching your face and wash your hands often to keep germs to a minimum and another way to help ward off the flu is to get a flu shot.

It is advised that if you have a weaken immune system or if you are in crowded places a lot like a school that you get a flu shot every year.

Every fall people start to think about getting there flu shot. You can go to several places to get a flu shot. Schools offer flu shot clinics where you can go to get a flu shot. Many places of employment offer a day when the employees can go to get a flu shot. Shopping malls and other stores offer flu shot clinics for a small price of about $25. Many local communities offer flu shot clinics that you can go and get a flu shot at. You can also go to your doctor and get a flu shot but it may cost more.

There is no guarantee that if you get a flu shot you will not get the flu. There are so many strains of flu that it is hard to put all the strains of flu into one shot. You can still get flu even if you have had the flu shot. You can also get a different kind of flu that is not in the flu shot or you can also get a mild case of the flu.

If you want to do all you can to avoid getting the flu get a flu shot, wash your hands often in warm soapy water and avoid touching your face. Know one wants to get the flu. If it strikes you get plenty of rest and drink plenty of fluids.
