The first thing that you should know is that like any other business there is a interview process by which you are judged. They will ask personal questions that might boggle your mind and make you wonder why they asked them. Trust me, there is a reason for some of the questions.
So let me help you get ready for your interview or audition. First of all they are going to look at your appearance. Trust me, no bar manager of a good bar is going to give a homeless looking person the time of day. Right before your interview make sure that you shower, paying close attention to shaving. Shave all your body hair from the neck down. This will keep from embarrassing moments from happening. I also recommend adding some Degree deodorant to the top of your private places to stop red bumps and also keep you smelling fresh.
Next we are going to look at your hair. Never put your hair up for the interview. Men seem to think that long hair is very sexy, so don't hide a inch of it. If you haven't had a haircut in a while, you might want to go get a trim. Natural looking hairstyles work the best for this business since it's just going to get messed up all night long. If you color your hair you might want to get a refresh to hide roots.
Next we will look at makeup. This just depends on the look that you are going for. Want to look like the girl next door? Wear very little with clear lip-gloss. Want to look like a porn star? Visit some makeup tutorials on www.youtube.com using the search term "porn makeup".
Next we will look at dressing for the part. Make sure no matter what you wear it is low-cut in the front to show off your assets. Wear jeans that flatter your rear-end and get you noticed. I don't recommend wearing heals to your interview but done with a class shirt it might work for you.
Next I am going to tell you what to say. Tell them the following things : I want to work more than the weekends, I will be on-time and early, I will work the whole night, I don't do drugs, I'm willing to learn, I don't drink so much that I can't function and I need this job. These are all things that good bar managers want to hear.
Never do any of the following : Never imply you will sleep with them to get the job, take your customer's home, bring your significant other to the bar or get mad at the other dancers.
So, now you have your interview tips, go and get that job!
