So you have finally reached the age where you can go on your first date! That is great and all, but there are some things you need to keep in mind. You can't trust any and everybody these days. Tip #1 - Double Date

It is best that you double date with another couple when going on your first date. This will make you less nervous if your friend goes with you and you won't be alone with the guy. This is especially good if you do not know the guy.

Tip #2 - Let Your Parents Know Where You are Going

The second tip is to let your parents know where you are going. You may need them to come pick you up or if they need you, they will know where you are.

Tip #3 - Carry a Cell Phone

My next tips is carry a cell phone. Even if you don't have a cell phone, borrow your mom or dad's phone. This is important because you may need to call home to your parents. If something happens and you need to reach your parents, the cell phone will come in good.

Tip #4 - Go to Public Areas

Another tip is to stay in public areas. Make sure wherever you and your date goes is in a public place with lots of people. You can never be too safe. You might even want to get your parents to drop you off on the date if you don't know the guy you are going out with.

Tip #5 - Take Your Own Money

You will never know when you will need money, so make sure you carry your own money. The guy might turn out to be a jerk and only pay for his food and then you will be stuck with your food. So, always take money with you.
