So what can a person do to avoid the lines at Six Flags?
Going to Six Flags on a rainy or potentially rainy day can help. This is especially true if the day starts out rainy; most people will not take the risk that the rides will be rained out. When paying the amount of money that Six Flags Theme Park asks for admission, few people want to gamble that money away on a wet, dreary day.
However, for those who have a season pass, or who are locked in to going to Six Flags on a given day, rain or no rain, there are some very practical things you can do to make your day be worthwhile and fun.
First, the very best things you can do to make certain you have a good time is to purchase a season pass instead of a regular day pass. Knowing that this rainy day will not be your last opportunity to enjoy Six Flags this year will work wonders for your mood, and allow you to enjoy all of your options rather than worry about the money you frittered away on your tickets. NOTE: This is only true if you can and are willing to go to Six Flags more than once in a given year. Six Flags season passes cost less than two days' general admission, so make certain you purchase a season pass if you believe you will be returning.
Next, make certain you pack all the appropriate gear. Walking around Six Flags soaked from the rain will certainly not to anything to cheer you up. Try to make sure you bring at minimum the following items:
Rain jacket with hood
Plastic bags to keep various items dry
Hat with a bill to keep water out of your face
Water-resistant shoes
Riding theme park rides is a completely different experience in the rain. To have the most fun, try wearing what I like to call the Red Baron: a scarf to protect your face from the stinging rain drops as you are moving at high velocities, a hood or hat to keep your hair dry, and goggles to protect your eyes from the force of the rain droplets. You may look funny, but you will be the one having the best time!
The rest is all about being creative with your time. Take in some of the shows. Enjoy the arcade. Explore areas of Six Flags where you haven't been before. And yes, take the time to splash in the puddles, just like you did when you were little.

Post a CommentHello,
thanks 4 the tips but i do have one thing u wrote that i dont agree with! Alot of girls are concious about the way they look and would not be seen dead wearing goggles at the theme park, i am one of them! For those girls my advise is to wear a mac or trench coat and NO absolutely NO goggles. For their hair they can wear a beanie hat or something stylish to keep their hair dry! They could even wear a cap to keep the rain out of their eyes, and trust me they will have just as much if not MORE fun than someone wearing goggles. I am going to a theme park tommorrow and it will be a rainy day so i am hoping for the best thank you all the same.
