When it comes to your breath, "your breath is what you eat" is often true. Therefore, to begin having great breath, it is imparitive to eat lots of fruits and vegetables. These will keep your mouth cleaner. Raw fruits and vegetables are the best for cleaning. Can't think of the types of things you can eat? How about raw carrots, grapes, strawberries, celery, broccoli with dip, cauliflower and others.
Next, if you have bad breath constantly, you may want to reduce the amount of cheese and milk products you eat. On the instructions of a special toothpaste it actually mentions this tip.
Mints
Candy Mints such as peppermint and spearmint are always helpful. So is mint gum. However, other great things for your breath include spearmint and peppermint leaves.
Good Dental Hygiene
Of course it goes without saying to brush your teeth at least two times a day, more often if necessary. You can also buy special rinses and toothpastes if you have consistent trouble with bad breath. It is a great idea to use dental floss and rinses too. Listerine is good because it kills the germs that cause bad breath.
Kiss Often
Kiss your spouse often. You will likely find out whether or not you have bad breath using this method.
Eat less Starch and Sugar
Starchy foods feed the organisms that create bad breath, or at least this is my understanding. Eat less for healthier breath.
Fast
Fasting will dramatically reduce bad breath. The longer your fast, the better your breath will smell after you are done. If you have a horrible time with bad breath, this method is great. Since bad breath can single a worse problem with your health, fasting is a great idea. Because you are not only helping your breath, your body will be healing too. Check online for directions on longer fasts and as always ask your doctor. Doctors advise not fasting if you have certain ailments. So it is always a good idea to fast.
Water
Drink lots of purified water to reduce your bad breath. This is always a good idea. It will not only help your breath but you will be benefiting your body.
As you can see above, many of the tips that help bad breath are also great ideas to stay healthy. You will make more friends and you will take care of your body at the same time. We all prefer to meet people on the street with great breath. So whether or not you are ringing in the new year, try some of these tips.
