Harnessing Sun's Light
We can harness the sunlight to maximum if we can have transparent semi covered glass roof so that in day time we can utilize the sunlight to our advantage. If entire world utilize the sunlight at homes, schools, offices or at factories then world energy crisis can be reduced to half. We can have transparent glass and in our windows, which will help in transmitting sunlight in our rooms, so that we need not have artificial or electrical lights in our homes in daytime.
Solar powered lights- Harnessing Sunlight
In places where sunlight is abundant use solar cells or photo optic cells and store solar energy, which can be used to light small street lights or domestic lights and conserve energy.
Use of computer to mix sunlight as well as the electrical lamps- harnessing Sunlight
The latest research in harnessing sunlight with the help of computer guided electronic equipment which uses both the sunlight and the artificial electrical lights to conserve and save maximum energy.
Here the computer determines the amount of artificial light has to be used to get optimum conservation of energy. By using sunlight you can save energy up to 75%, but the system should able to take of the heat also.
Designing the building - Harnessing Sunlight
For harnessing the sunlight to its maximum potential, you need to have the building designed in such a way that sunlight can be used all the day long in any direction. So traditional building has to be renovated to accommodate the system of harnessing the sunlight. You can remember how the old chapels, temples and building are built, which uses sunlight for illumination in the day time.
Use of photo sensor - harnessing the solar energy
One more way to harness the sunlight by using photo sensors, which will indicate the precise amount of light required, accordingly you can dim the lights to get optimum illumination in the interiors.
Therefore for global energy crisis solution is harnessing the solar energy. We can reduce 75% of energy required for lighting, only one huddle in the way is heat. If you can minimize the solar heat, then the best solution is harnessing the sun's light.
