Tips on Healthy, Balanced, Breakfast

Breakfast is most important diet for us. Breakfast is combination of two words break + fast. Breakfast is the diet (food) you take 8 to 9 hours after the previous day dinner. So you have a gap of 8 to 9 hours before having your food. You should always have healthy breakfast to stay healthy and fit. There is saying that "You should have breakfast as emperor, lunch like a common man and dinner like a pauper".

What is healthy breakfast?
Breakfast should not be high fat, refined, processed foods but instead have low calorie fresh natural variation every day. Your breakfast should be combination of fresh fruits, nuts, vegetables, pulses, cereals, Yoghurt, citric fruits but keep in mind of using as less fat as possible. Your breakfast should be balanced and healthy diet(food) that means it should contain cereals, fibrous food, protein, lots of fluids, but minimum fat.

Tip # 1 for healthy Breakfast
When you have children the key to have enjoyable breakfast is have variations every day. You can have little from the entire food groups like cereal along with low fat milk. For better taste you can add fresh fruits like Oranges, apples, bananas or some nuts too. You can add egg, fresh sprouts or French fries.

Fresh Vegetables like carrots, cucumber can be cut in different shapes and dipped in some flavored low-fat yoghurt serves excellent finger foods for children. Children like to have fried foods, you can add a little to the gamut of other healthy foods.

Tips # 2 for healthy Breakfast
You can add sweets, fruit salad, fried nuts, sweet yoghurt, fresh oranges to make the breakfast interesting and enjoyable.

Tips # 3 for healthy Breakfast
Breakfast should contain lots of fresh juices, plenty of water, diluted butter milk or milk, coffee or tea along with the breakfast.

Tips # 4 for healthy Breakfast
The above are western recipes, as a South Indian I love to have Iddle, vada, Dosa, with sambar or chatni. You can have puri with sabjee, aluoo parata . You can have lassi along with the breakfast.

Therefore breakfast doesn't always mean that you can have anything and everything in it. A healthy breakfast is what one should emphasize on. The food you eat in breakfast should give you enough energy to work, study or do other daily responsibilities with full of energy till the next diet or food. I have tried to share some basic healthy, balanced, diet (food) which shall be healthy as well as taste food.
