Tips to Help Deal with Excessive Body Odor

Lance Esondi
Some people naturally have more body odor than others. While many can get away with taking a shower each day to deal with this problem, there are others who have more odor, and this daily shower might not be enough. Some people sweat more than others even if they aren't hot, which leads to more odor than average. If you have these embarrassing problems, you probably want it to go away quickly. There are a few things you can do to help.

Most body odor due to sweat is actually produced when the sweat coming out of the body meets up with the bacteria on the skin. The more bacteria and sweat that you have, the more smells will be noticed. This is why you should try to invest in some antibacterial soap made for washing your body. This limits the bacteria found on the skin, meaning you can still sweat a bit more than average without having as much smell. This technique does help quite a bit.

Your sweat can smell foul depending on what you are eating. Some of the major offenders are things like garlic and onions. The sweat will smell even worse when you are eating a lot of these in your diet. Cut these out as much as you can to limit the odors.

Try to find clothing that doesn't stay wet as long as others. Certain fabrics are designed to dry quickly. This way, if you start sweating, that moisture won't be in contact with the skin as long.

Another technique is to focus on products that will help you limit the sweating in the first place. There are things like powerful antiperspirants, lotions and powders that are designed to help you reduce your overall sweating. This also will help with the excessive odors you are producing.
