Many people suffer from a condition called sleep deprivation. Sleep deprivation is when you lack the necessary amount of sleep needed to function on a daily basis. You can normally tell if you are not getting enough sleep. If you are drowsy and sleepy throughout the day, find yourself taking naps and have a difficult time concentrating, then you are probably experiencing sleep deprivation.

Some common signs of sleep deprivation are exhaustion, fatigue, aching muscles, dizziness, fainting, confusion, irritability, weight loss or gain, hallucinations and dark circles under your eyes. If you are experiencing one or more of these symptoms for longer than a week, then you should speak with your doctor about your situation. You doctor can help you find ways to overcome sleep deprivation, such as modifying your diet and exercising routine, changing your medications or subscribing you sleeping pills.
