We even set up her tree so that it would only need decorating once her daughter returned home. Help out a single mom and run an errand for her. Chances are you will be running the same if not similar errand yourself and that will save her some time.

Well, in my case (I am so tone death!) not necessarily sing her a song, but sing her praises. Single moms often times do not receive enough positive feedback. Let her know she is a good mom. Encouragement can be the extra boost she needs to get through an extra tough week or survive a chaotic day.

Clip coupons that you know she will appreciate and use... better still use that coupon and purchase the item yourself and leave it on her front porch, tied with a little ribbon or bow.

Does your single mom have a yard? Do you have yard tools? Go over there with your kids and enjoy working in her yard for a couple hours one morning. No yards... offer to bring her a tree. Some tree farms offer discounted prices for smaller trees. If you purchase one for yourself, ask about them donating one of the smaller ones to someone you know in need.
