Supplies You Will Need:

Note Book (for making list)

Suit Case or Small Bag

Plastic Zip Style Bags (Large, Medium and Snack Sizes)

Clothes For the Season

Bathroom Supplies

and any Extras you may need

Lets Get Started:

First you will need to make a list of items that you will need while on this trip. Then find your suitcase, and dust it off from the last time you took a trip. Now you will need to decide on what you will be wearing. Pick an outfit for each day, lay each outfit for each day you will be gone on your bed, or table. Put together your outfits, example Shorts, Shirts, and socks ( folded, not rolled up), you will do this for each day that you will be gone. You may decide that the outfit the you are wearing to leave you can wear it again on your way back home this is fine, and will save you room in your suitcase.

OK, You have your outfits all laid out and in their own piles, you will now need to choose your outfit accessories to go with these outfits. Don't forget to take along pants, you never know what the weather will do while you are gone. Now use your snack size plastic zipper bags, and pick out a pair of earrings, bracelet, necklace, and ring, (I will call these (Accessory Packets) and put each group into their own little snack bag. Now place each bag on the outfit of choice, do this for each outfit, half of the packing is already done. You will also need to choose what shoes you will be wearing, and limit yourself to at least two pairs, one for the car or plane ride, and one pair to wear during the trip.

Now Packing of the Suitcase:

We now have all the outfits, jewelry, and shoes all picked out, we will now get to packing all of these items into your suitcase of choice. First we will need to use the larger of the zipper style bags, and pick one of the a piles of clothes, with accessory packets, and placing it into the larger bag. How this will be done, first put your shorts (or pants) in first, then the shirt, socks, and now the accessory packets. Now try to get as much air out of the bag as possible with out wrinkling your outfit, zip the bag. Now your outfit is packed and ready to go into your suit case, (I will call these Outfit Packets). Do this for each outfit until you are finished. Place all of the outfit packets into the suitcase, add your shoes, and this part of the packing is finished. You are almost finished with the packing.

Now Packing the Toiletries:

Now, we need to decide on what are we taking, for your toiliteries, again lay these out on your table, so you don't forget anything. For example gather your toothpaste, and brush, hair brush or comb, and so on. Using the plastic zipper bags again, put your toothpaste, and brushed in one bag. Hair Brush and comb in another, we do not want hair on our toothbrush. Use the larger bags for your shampoo, conditioner, and shaving cream. This will help if your shampoo resides to explode or open while you are traveling. Then you can just either clean out the bag or throw it away, and bye new items. Do this for all of your toiletries that you will be taking with you, again get as much as the air out as possible and zip the bag. Place the bags in the suit case along with your clothes and shoes. Remember to also include your medications that you will also be needing, also any phone or gadget chargers you will be needing, these will need their own bags. Have one empty zipper bag for the wet swim ware that will be coming home with you. Next, double check your list and make sure you didn't forget anything. This should be easy because by using these plastic zipper bags you can see what you have. Do this for each and every family member going on this trip with you. You have now finished all of your packing, and will be able to enjoy your trip.

Now you should have a suit case that is all packet and ready to go, packing your bag in this way will make your suit case lighter, easier for you to find your outfits, and while flying on an airplane, they will be able to go threw you suitcases with no problems. This should make it a less stressful trip for all who is involved. You will also notice that you will have more room for all of those purchases made while on your trip.

Now to Finish up the Packing:

When you are returning home just reverse the steps, just put all of your jewelry packets into one zipper bag and try to put as many into the other bags, no one will care if they are wrinkled once they have already been warn, and you should have room of all of your goodies.

I hope that I made you packing a little easier, and gave you some tips on how to make you load a little lighter. All of these tips work great also for the carry on bags, and will make it easier for you to stuff it in the over the head compartment, with out worrying about your clothes getting wrinkled up. Now go and have a wonderful and stress free trip.
