Tips to Keep a Great Relationship Great

Everyone wants to keep the love in their loving relationship. Here's a few ways to help make that happen.

-Take care of you. Staying healthy will not only extend your life, but will also make you feel sexier and improve your love life. If you don't love you, it makes it harder for others to love you.

-Spend time on your relationship. Make it a point to spend time talking daily. Show a legitimate interest in your partner's life.

-Show appreciation. Never be stingy on showing affection. Set aside alone time or a date night. Making it a point to spend time together, shows you are committed.

-Go on adventures together. Having a new experience becomes even more exciting when you share it with your loved one. It creates a memory you both can cherish for years to come.

-Learn to communicate. Listen without judgment. Don't try to belittle your partner's thoughts or feelings. Don't try to talk over them or change their mind. Just let them express themselves and then discuss it.

-Don't be afraid to be physically intimate. Taking the time to know what your partner's likes and dislikes are can make your bond stronger. Become comfortable just being naked together. It may sound silly or feel weird, but getting beyond the fear will bring you both closer.

-Agree to disagree because it's healthy. You're not clones of each other, you'll never agree on everything. And if you think you do, then there's something that someone isn't saying.

-Always show respect. You can't a have a truly deep and loving relationship if you don't or can't respect the person you're with. If you've lost respect for the person you're with, do whatever it takes to get it back or the relationship will suffer.

-Be forgiving. You need to be able to forgive the mistakes your partner makes and move beyond them.

-Don't bring up past mistakes. Get beyond them. No one should have to live every day with every mistake they've ever made.

-Laugh every time you get the chance. Nothing brings couples closer than being able to share a good chuckle. It's good for the relationship and your soul. Have a sense of humor about life.

-Be romantic. It's the little things that can mean the most. Buy a card, just because. It'll make the both of you smile.

-Don't be afraid to get help. Many people in relationship use couples counseling to make the relationship better. It shows a high level of responsibility and commitment when you admit there's a problem you can't solve and then seek help.

Keep these small things in mind and you'll be on your way to long and loving relationship.
