Well, parents, these occurrences are happening because of the germs and bacteria that are all around our little love ones in these common play areas. During the fall and winter and even early spring it is very easy for our loves one to get sick because of the many environments that they are exposed to that carry germs.

Germs are a small mass of protoplasm or cells that can not be detect on the surfaces areas that our children play on or handle quit often. Therefore, when our children touch areas such as the monkey bars, swings, their tricycle or their toys while playing, any germs or bacteria present on these toys get on the child resulting in symptoms such as a cold, a runny nose, coughing and possibly even fevers. To avoid these germs attacking our little ones, follow some helpful tips in keeping germs that cause sickness off of our little ones.

Germ Free Tip One:

Have your little ones wash their hands with soap and water on a regular basis throughout the day to avoid contact with germs. Whether they go outside to play or play indoors, washing their hands is an absolute must. Sterilizing their hands helps to keep those germs off and away from their little bodies. Teach them to wash their hands before and after each meal or snack. This will create awareness in the child of cleanliness and will keep any germs that are on their hands from entering their mouths.

Germ Free Tip Two:

When you are shopping at your local stores and your little one is helping you they most likely will want to help with pushing the shopping cart. If they are still small they will need to ride in the shopping cart. Be sure to carry baby wipes and/or hand sanitizer with you. Wipe the cart's handle before placing your child in it or letting them push it and discard the wipe in a nearby trash receptacle. Studies have shown that E. Coli has been reported to have been present on most shopping cart in recent studies. Apply hand sanitizer to your child's little hands to prevent germs from getting on them. This will help them to stay clean and healthy.

Germ Free Tip Three:

Playgrounds are areas where bacteria and germs live. Almost every child who plays at the playground can get bacteria on them due to a lack to sanitization. Bacteria and germs live on areas such as the monkey bars and swings. So to avoid our loves ones getting sick; wash them up immediately when they return home from the playground to avoid any attacks to their bodies. You can also use hand sanitizer immediately after they finish playing. Teach them to keep their hands out of their mouth while they play.

So, parents, there are many kinds of germs, including bacteria, viruses, and protozoa that we must be aware of to keep our children healthy and safe. Be careful where you're little ones play and what they can possibly come in contact with.
