The Right Activity. First, you need to find something that you like to do. For most people this means doing something they're good at. Do you wow others with your sweet dance moves? Then dance aerobics are right for you. Or maybe you enjoy competing with others. In that case you may want to consider getting some friends together for a game of basket ball. Whatever you choose it should be an activity you enjoy doing; something you just can't get enough of. That way you will always be looking forward to working out, not dreading it. You don't have to find something you're good at, though. It can just be something you would enjoy getting better at with practice. Whatever it takes to start loving your workout, do that.
The Right Time. Second, you need to find the best time for you to exercise. When are you most energetic? Are you too stressed after work to think about getting sweaty? Perhaps after work is the perfect time because it helps you get all the aggression from the day out. If you're a morning person try setting your alarm clock a little early and working out before you shower. Try different times out and see what's best for you. Try not to exercise four hours or less before you go to bed, though. It could keep you from falling asleep quickly. Exercising at the right time is crucial step for loving your workout.
The Right Clothes. Third, finding the right clothes is a great way to start loving your workout. If you're a girl, then go out and buy an adorable, comfortable exercise outfit. try to find something that hides your flaws and accentuates the parts you like about your body. Pretty soon you won't have to hide anything. If you're a guy, then get comfortable clothes that breathe well and make girls turn their heads and go, "Ooo, I'll bet he works out." It's important that what you wear makes you feel comfortable with yourself, so don't buy those spandex bike shorts unless you love the way you look in them. When you know you look great in your exercise outfit, you'll look forward to working out.
The Right Attitude. Fifth and finally, you need the right attitude. Be positive. You don't need to be overjoyed every time you approach that stair master, but you must be thinking at least one positive thing. If you don't feel like working out, tell yourself that you'll be getting one step closer to your goal. Or you could reassure yourself that exercising strengthens your heart and you'll be just a little healthier for doing it. Try to be happy, but if you can't just try to be positive enough to make you do it. You'll feel better after you know you've done the right thing. Feeling good about what you're doing will always make it easier to complete your goals and love your workout.
When your workout gets boring don't give up. Find the right activity to make it fun, the right time for convenience, the right clothes to make you comfortable, and the right attitude to help you enjoy it. Do these four easy things and I know you'll be loving your workout in no time.
