Tips for Mafia Wars Cuba

Cheats, Strategies and Loot Guide

Jan Peterson
Mafia Wars has expanded into the Cuban Underworld! Are you there yet? If you are getting familiar with this phase of the game, this information should provide some helpful insight.

First of all , when playing Mafia Wars Cuba, you'll start over with your cash and you can't exchange your New York dollars for Pesos, but you will still be earning income from your New York properties, and paying maintenance on them. Mafia Wars Cuba requires a lot of attention and a few new strategies for you to get your family pocketing those Cuban Pesos and gaining prestige on this corrupt island! But back home, your New York Mafia will still be attacked and robbed, so don't take your eye off New York completely!

Some Play in Mafia Wars Cuba is similar to New York

You'll still:

-Use health, energy, and stamina Points

-Do jobs

-Fight other mafia families

-Build collections

-Need weapons, special characters, items and loot to do jobs

-Earn loot from doing some jobs.

What's Different in Mafia Wars Cuba?

-You do not have an income

-You do not buy properties

-You earn money via business activity

-Each job involves paying a bribe

-You'll play a lottery game for chances to win reward points, a collection piece, or random loot items.

Running Your Cuban Businesses in Mafia Wars:

You do not earn an income in Cuba, the way you do in New York. No signing in and finding another couple million in the bank! Instead, to make money in Mafia Wars Cuba, you run businesses that produce items for sale. You'll start out controlling one business, "Bodega" and can "take over" others when you accumulate enough Pesos. Here's how your businesses operate:

1) Your business will produce a certain number of items per hour

2) Every hour the items produced are stored in your warehouse, which has limited capacity.

3) When you sell the items in your warehouse, the sale is deposited into your cash and

4) Once your warehouse is full, your production is suspended until you sell your goods.

Both the product output of your business and your warehouse capacity can be upgraded at a cost. If you don't check into Mafia Wars often, you'll want to upgrade capacity, so your business can keep producing. If you check in multiple times daily, you may want to upgrade the output and sell often. When you have enough cash, you'll want to do both.

A Big Tip: The "Bring the Local Teamsters Under Your Control" job in the El Jefe level and "Establishing a Loansharking Business" job in El Patron, require "Politico Corrupto" which can not be bought or looted. Politico Corrupto is the product of the Bribery Ring business, so you'll need to take over this business in order to do these jobs.

Loot Location Guide

It is unclear to me at the point I am in the game, exactly where you'll need the items you are looting in Cuba. However, I'm betting they will come into play at higher levels. So, here is a loot guide for the Cuba Mafia Wars.

Zynga keeps Mafia Wars evolving, which I think makes things interesting. One new feature Zynga just added in both New York and Cuba is the ability to declare war on one of your friends to settle a beef. I'm not quite sure what the value of this feature is, but I plan to check it out.

So, get out the Fedora and go ahead and try a Havana cigar...and then let the Cuban Wars begin!
