First you will need to gather cardstock, scissors, a few different ribbons, glue, and an ink pen. You may want a photo of the father too. Make sure this is a cop because you will be attaching it to the card. If you are making the cards yourself you can do so easily and make a great looking card. First you will need to decide how big you would like the card to be. You will then cut a piece of the card stock to be double the size of the desired card. You will then fold it in half. Make sure that you crease the cardstock well, so it will close nicely. You can then start decorating the card.
You can then start decorating the front of the card. You can see that on my pattern, you can attach ribbon to make a pattern. First you will glue a strip of ribbon down the front of the card. You will then overlap another ribbon along the bottom of the card; it will overlap the first ribbon. You can then glue the photo in the top center of the card. Allow for enough room to glue a border around the photo. You will then cut a border out of some blue paper, or whatever color you choose. Then glue it around the photo. You can then add stickers and embellishments throughout the card after you write a message on the front of the card. It doesn't have to be Happy Father's Day, it can be any short saying that you wish.
After the front is done, you can now complete the inside. You can add a poem about Father's Day or something that you just wish to say to that special father. You can make an envelope for the card to by using the instructions when you click this link. This is a very easy card to make for a special father in your life. You can do this project with children easily too, but they will need help. The father is sure to appreciate this homemade card. This is just one design. You can be creative and design your own. This was just a simple and easy design.
