Tips for Making Mosaic Yard Art Bowling Balls

Bowling balls never looked so good. Transform an otherwise discarded ball into a work of art. Using found objects, pebbles, fish aqua stones, junk drawer tidbits, buttons, and even pennies.

Working a small section at a time. Cover the area with tile grout, set the objects in place. For a weeping mortar look use more tile grout. Allow the grout to seep over the pieces.

When creating a shiny penny ball use clear adhesive to secure the pennies to the ball. Work a small section at a time. The adhesive should be water proof for outdoor displaying. You can use any coin you wish or a combination of different coins. It really picks up the sunlight in the garden.

You can use many forms of objects to cover the bowling balls. Look for game board letter tiles to write words with. You can personalize them for gift giving. Half marbles are also an option. Any small pieces from screws to paper clips can be incorporated. Keep an eye open for possibilities. You can collect the objects needed and have some fun hunting down bowling balls.

It's a good idea to look for special stands to display the yard art bowling balls. Plant stands, garden pots, metal trays, large bowls will be great for displaying and keeping the ball off the ground. If you buddy them up together or they stand alone, the impact is breathtaking.
