Here's some tips on how not to get sued and stay out of court.

1.) You must always contact the person or creditors, company, that you owe money to usually they're willing to make payment arrangements with you if you explain to them the reason(s) you have not been making your payments, and give them a time and amount on when you're going to be making a payment, and when that time comes make that payment, if you still can't make the payment call them again or write them a letter explaining why you can't pay at that time. Keep all your correspondence, and who you talked to, your receipts when contacting the you creditors so, that you can bring this information with you if ever you do have to appear in court.

2.) If you don't answer their calls or the letters they send, you can get sued all they want is for you to contact them with a payment plan, and usually they'll try to work out something with you to keep you from going to court because, going to court is something they don't won't to do either, they want to be able to get the full amount of the price on your contract so, that's why they're so willing to make payment arrangement. Going to court could mean they won't get all their money as well.

3.) It will look much better on your credit report if you don't have a law suit on it so, it's always better to try to work something out with them oppose to going to court.

4.) If you can only make a $20.00 or a $50.00 payments because, you're not working you need to try to give them something because, one something is better than nothing and, your account is only building up in late fees, a creditor always rather see you pay something rather than nothing when you do this they're willing to work with you. Aways stay in contact with them even if you're afraid to call because, if they don't hear from you at all they will have no other choice except to take you to court.

5.) Even if you end up getting sued the judge can only take so much of your income he/she will not take all your income because, by law you're entitled to keep half of your income for your living expenses, and certain income they can't touch like your social security, unemployment, retirement income. Even if you have money in the bank, they can't just go in and take it they may freeze your account but they aren't allowed to just take your money from the bank.

The above suggestions will help keep some of these cases from reaching court, the courts are overflowed with these kind of cases and they don't want to go to court anymore than you do.
